RentalWorks Storefront
View inventory catalogs and submit quote requests
What is Storefront
Storefront is a public-facing website that allows customers to view inventory items and submit quote requests from one or more of your rental and sales inventory catalogs.
Administrators can enable anonymous access or require users to login before allowing them to view your inventory. Users must have a registered account before they are allowed to submit a request for quote.
Configure the landing page’s photos and information to make the most out of your customer’s first impression.
- Add multiple images and set both the transition speed and effect (fade, slide, coverflow, or cards)
- Display up to three hero sections at the top of the landing page to show the most important information at first-glance
- Set the catalog width and height to control how many catalogs you see before scrolling vertically
- Add a footer to show information that is pertinent to the specific catalog

Inventory Catalogs
Rental or sales catalogs are created for an office location and may be configured to include or exclude specific inventory types or items. Administrators may also configure the catalog to show items you don’t own (but intend to sub-rent upon request) or to allow users to add items that are not available to the shopping cart.
Catalog views, such as the catalog grid, catalog list, item detail, and shopping cart, may be configured to show or hide specific fields. Available fields include:
- Inventory Type > Category > Sub-Category
- I-Code
- Daily, weekly, and/or monthly rental rate
- Sales price
- Availability
- User defined tags
- Manufacturer and part number
- Replacement cost
- Shipping weight
Quote & Order History
From the Quotes & Orders view, customer contacts can view their history of Requests, Quotes, and Orders and print/preview a PDF to see the item details.
In an upcoming release, users will be able to copy an existing Request, Quote, or Order into a new Quote Request.

Submit Request for Quote
When ready to check-out, users may add a project description and associate it to a specific job (if the user is already associated to that job). Start and end dates may be adjusted and additional notes may be added as required.
Once the request for quote is submitted, the user will receive an email that shows the details of their submission.
